Erin’s Senior Session {philadelphia photographer}

Erin was such a sweetheart to work with. She showed up with a smile and happy attitude and was like that the entire time.  I love shooting seniors that are excited to be there and are willing to pose and have a long attention span.  Erin brought her sisters along and they were the nicest family.  So nice that I even asked if they always get along so well.  They told me they argue over clothes sometime and I don’t believe it at all.  I did send their mom an email asking if she could tell me her secret to raising siblings that actually like one another:) So here are some of my favorites of the day. Enjoy!

The “F” Family {philadelphia wedding photographer}

The “F” family is the cutest family.  Little Miss “M” just turned 1 year old and it was a perfect time to have family potraits done.  Miss “M” didn’t want to be my firend right away but after giving her a few cheerios we became very close:) But she didn’t give me any waves…..she must have used them all up on all the runners, dogs and that little boy in the red shirt.  That’s ok I still think she really liked me:) Here are some of my favorite images. Enjoy!

Emily and Colin’s Wedding Part One {philadelphia wedding photographer}

Emily and Colin had a beautiful day for their wedding.  The details for Emily’s wedding were great.  She had amazing flowers, a gorgeous dress and awesome cowboy boots!  Actually all the girls wore cowboy boots and they looked super cute.  One of my favorite details of the day was the awesome car that Emily used throughout the day.  I am not a car person but it was seriously the cutest car ever! Here are some of my favorite images from the part of the day. Enjoy!

Amanda and Mark Engagement Session {phila wedding photographer}

Amanda and Mark are such fun to work with and always up for anything. We picked an evening to do there session and now that it is September the sun is setting earlier……which does not make me happy.  Well we started this session a little late and the sun was setting very fast.  But Amanda and Mark were awesome and we moved very fast and got some super cute images.  I have to mention that Mark is totally a keeper. At the end of the session I was taking some shots of the ring and there was not light left so Amanda and I were rushing around looking for something to place the rings on.  Well Mark came back and gave us some red roses…he saw them during out shoot and went back and picked them.  Amanda and Mark are such a cute couple and perfect for each other. Here are some of my favorite images. Enjoy!

The Importance of Family Portraits {philadelphia wedding photographer}

Photography is something that has always been important to me. I remember my first camera and taking it to school dances to capture all the fun.  I remember going to prom and waking up early to get all the rolls of film developed at the 1 hour photo lab.  There is just something about capturing a moment that really excites me. So now that I have a family it is very important that I capture everyone and we do family portraits fairly often……and of course too often for all the kids and probably my husband.   But I place a high value on family portraits and love that I have them.  I also believe that every family should have a family portrait to capture their moment in time.  I know a lot of moms shy away from the camera or are the photographers in their families which means one important family member is missing in images.  As a photographer I believe that I am blessed to be able to capture other families moments in time.  If you have been thinking about getting a family portrait done, do it. Do it for your children and if you are a mom, get in the image.  Your children won’t even notice your roots, a few extra pounds, a smile line or even a fading tan but I guarantee they will notice when you are missing.
